The Heavy Duty Stapler had a nasty jam; it was repaired with the use of round nosed pliers.
The Optima 70 has been repaired. The carriage release was stuck and had to be pried open with a screwdriver. “Jam free guarantee” = FAIL.
Only five days into the semester, the big staplers have been pulled from the reference desk for repair.
Update: All nine new staplers survived the first day of the fall semester without incident.
